caught enchanted at cini yesterday
it was really better than expected

today we're gonna go queensway and chill out for abit,
then that'll be the end of my spree here.

haha i found out cini's lan is really really god, but the stuff there
is really really overpriced.

poof. just helped my dad fix the air-con
trust me, its not easy.

sunday happened to be my mom's birthday, so dad brought us out to some ulu hotel
but the japanese restaurant there turned out to be nothing short of great

and this mediacorp artiste was sitting beside us the whole time.
i've no idea what her name is
but i think she's the one who always acts as the big bitch in the channel 8 serials
well she looks slightly nicer in real life,
but anyone can tell her makeup is thicker than my grandma's spectacles



then yeah, we caught beemovie yesterday
it wasn't as dumb as i expected,
and there were some good political jokes that were actually funny.

but other than that, there was nothing special:
no great effects,
standard plot,
no real life lesson at the end.

so if you ask, its just quite pointless other than the few jokes.

the movie started an hour later than we expected,
so we just took the chance to stone around orchard and take a few photos
it was at lido, so yeah there's nothing much around there

i met max fu there, right at the lido
was about to go to the foodcourt, when i saw this guy in baggy sec 4 uniform.
he looked familiar at first, and when i saw his spiked hair, i knew it was gonna be maxfu. ha.

he was with this girl in spaghetti, so i thought he was gonna dao
well he saw me, and i was about to turn away
but he started to wave

then his girl looked over, and yeah i just smiled back
max is sure nicer than he actually looks


today was back to usual
after the dentist, i stoned at cini for awhile. the lan there's good.



and my sis went to her friend's house to prepare for some cooking competition.
my sister's called vanessa, her friend's called vanessa too
when my piano teacher learnt that my sister could cook, she laughed out really
loud.
apparently they got the runnerup position in the south-zone category.

and vanessa lives in serangoon,
so i got to find out where plmgs actually is
and i managed to check out some places, cos i rarely go there


that's about it
i won't bother blogging much
from now onwards.

my sister landed on sunday
it's quite bad cos she has a really bad flu, and there's ulcers in her mouth.

today i went to the dentist
and we decided that i should get braces

cos i can't bite properly.
there's gonna be ulcers, restrictions on food, extraction,
blahblahblah

all the usual crap.

today was spent on not-so-important stuff.

oh yeah i got myself a new myuk wallet
finally.



my first proper wallet, after years of deprivation:

and now its those horizontal, leatherish type of wallet
good.





i collected my file from the office today,
which confirms the fact that i'm not selected as best english student


then i helped my mom with the cpu,
cos we just bought a new dell desktop for my sister some days back,
and we can't possibly fit 6 computers in the house


so she gave away her cpu to her colleague who happens to leave in bukit timah.


then we went down to parkway for christmas shopping,
and she was looking for gift ideas for the kids in canada.

it was getting really sian to just wander around,
so i outright suggested to her to just mass-buy all the billabong pencil cases.

and she really took to it, so we ended up in isetan lugging 8 pencil cases to the counter, we'll just slowly sort out what each kid gets in canada.




then we had dinner,
then we went vivo.


there's a samsung retailer there,
and we didn't like the small hardware shop nearby.

so we went down to take a look at some HD sets,
but the salesman was really bad there


so we walked over to best denki and decided on the F8 series
40 incher.



we're planning to get the M8 for the playroom, and the F8 for the living room
it was really nice to walk up and down comparing tv after tv, trust me

and yeah after the panasonics and sharps and aquos and toshibas and hitachis and LGs and pioneers, the specs from the samsung still ownz all.


so yeah. mind-blowing graphics ftw
theres a 2 month waiting list for the F8 though, we gotta wait past christmas which is a sad thing. no monster tv to go along with our christmas tree

today was a really busy day.

we unplugged the lcd for the piano tuner to come,
and ended up taking ages to sort the wires back.

then i finally bought my sec 4 uniform and books.
its no coincidence i look absolutely dashing in our hazel brown uniform

and yeah i saw andai!
drama camp i think, he looked really sian.

and i mean, really sian. lol.
he was purely staring into blank space
while those is guys flirted with the girls,

all right in front of him.

guy flexes. girl screams. andai listens to his mp3 and stares on





lolll. and the books are cheaped in sec 4 than in sec 3







whatelse.

after that we went taka to shop.
i got myself another pair of jeans..
and yeah, my mom treated me to coffee club

the food there's really good, if you're totally oblivious to the price that comes with it.


$42 for a lunch for two, win.

but the strawberry smoothie and mushroom lagsana was delicious



then it was coming back to suit up for badminton later,
and my piano teacher's right opposite the sports hall

so its really easy to just cross over since they're all in bedok.
1 hour of badminton in where i got owned by my dad.



then we went all the way into the hard of the cbd to fix his subaru,
apparently the oil started to leak.

and by the time we were finished, it was jamming like god knows what.
so we got stuck in the highway and all,
with the oil leaking-non stop


his mileage is only 62000+ km, and the guys at the workshop all reckon its dammit rare that something like that happens.
a car has more than 200000 plus mileage, so yeah



we reached home pretty late,
and this guy called sam's supposed to come and helps us look around the house
but he's showing up on thursday night instead


cos we're getting this new hd tv for the playroom, dining room, and living room.
and yes, my dad wants this driving simulator really badly since he's a car racer but he rarely gets to race now.

so he's planning to refurbish the playroom with 47inch HD tv, carpet the room, add sound-proof padding on the wall, and throw in the surround-sound speakers

and sam's the man, he's gonna look and design the whole thing


yay. i'm obviously really into it, cos with the hdtv comes my xbox360.





delicious. and right after i buy all my books, i get an sms from mrs yong:

whew, what a time at j8
we watched stardust, which was really really good
other than robert di niro, i've never heard a single one of the cast before.

but the plot, the whole fantasy thing thats bounded back by the realism of love
its really good.

and some parts of the movie are just dammit sweet
really worth the watch in the cinema,
the acoustics make you go 'wow'.

so yeah. thats j8 for today

other than the really good movie,
of course there was banana crumble at swensens,
mass-spamming at the arcade,
and the non-existent shopping spree.


i managed to get a dvd though, which was really the only thing i brought home
28 weeks later.



it looks really good, and my parents are kinda bored with my sister overseas in china.

she used up most of her money already, ah.
but she sounds like having a really good time in suzhou
shopping her life away, and camping in the hotel for tv serial after tv serial.


damm, i should've signed up for more exchanges.



but nevermind there's still canada and hongkong with the family this holiday,
i won't be going overseas for a loooooong time to come after that
next year, we'll say hi to the o's

she got discharged quite a few weeks back

ah, so many people are working outdoors this holiday.

yesterday was nothing much really
went to simlim and shopped for new hardware with parents
saw lotsa students there working part-time
and yeah, i have friends who work at shops too

my parents me to work, but i can't be bothered.

im rocking to the beat of 'your guardian angel now'
who cares about working when there's such good speaker systems at home. ha.


we bought a new digitcal camera at simlim.

well my team crashed out of the quarter-finals by a single goal,
we lost the woodlands.

but the other hci got through all the way to the finals,
where we lost to bukitpanjanggoverment.

i bet even my younger sister can laugh at them.

lol but one of them was the handler, and they eventually beat us,
so yeah.

pretty uneventful, these 3 days were all spent at ngeeann.

whew, i've been so busy lately.
robocup!

haha these 3 days have been spent chion-ging to ngee ann at seven plus in the morning
anw our efforts did pay off.

today's the prelims,
and both our hwachong teams got into the finals
tmr's our big day

and yeah, thats back-to-back with the kelatan trip.
i have nicenice pictures, cos everyone likes money

anw we obliberated admiralty 8-5 today.
they won their first game 11-3, but in the end we showed them who's boss

and then rgs, we also managed to teach them some respect.

that's 2 win, i think we drew with punggol
so we're through, along with daryl's team.

daryl's is basically a two-man team, but they beat cheung cheng 6-1
ask me how, and i'll tell you that's daryl
he can go back to school everyday and mug his robot like his meals
he's a really commited guy.

everything started on the wrong tune.
